Our 3-Week Board & Train program in Roanoke is designed for owners who want focused, consistent training while still being actively involved in their dog’s progress.

During the three-week stay, your dog lives and trains with me while working on obedience, communication, manners, and real-life skills tailored to their individual needs.

• Three private training sessions with you while your dog is in the program, so you can learn alongside them and begin practicing the same handling and communication techniques.
• Daily video updates featuring a training session, allowing you to follow your dog’s progress and see exactly what we’re working on.
• A comprehensive go-home session where we review commands, handling, expectations, and how to continue the training at home.
• One follow-up session after your dog returns home to address questions, troubleshoot any issues, and help keep the training moving forward.

The goal isn’t simply to send home a dog that listens to the trainer. It’s to build a training system that you understand and can confidently continue once your dog comes home.

Our 4-Week Behavior Modification Board & Train program is designed for dogs struggling with more complex behavioral concerns that require additional time, structure, and individualized training.

During the four-week stay, your dog lives and trains with me while we work to identify the underlying patterns behind their behavior, build clearer communication, establish reliable obedience, and develop healthier responses in real-life situations.

This program may be appropriate for dogs struggling with issues such as reactivity, fear-based behaviors, resource guarding, impulse-control issues, excessive arousal, or other challenging behaviors that go beyond basic obedience.

The program includes:

• Four private training sessions with you while your dog is in the program, allowing you to learn the techniques, handling skills, and management strategies being used throughout their stay.
• Daily video updates featuring a training session so you can follow your dog’s progress and better understand the training process.
• A comprehensive go-home session focused on transferring the training back to you, reviewing handling, household structure, management, and expectations moving forward.
• One follow-up session after your dog returns home to troubleshoot challenges, answer questions, and help you maintain progress in your everyday environment.

Behavior modification is not about creating a “perfect” dog in four weeks. The goal is to create meaningful behavioral change, give your dog better tools for navigating difficult situations, and give you the knowledge and confidence to continue that progress at home.

Because behavioral concerns vary significantly from dog to dog, an evaluation may be required before enrollment to determine whether this program is appropriate for your dog.

Home Based Boarding in Roanoke, VA is designed for dogs who may not be a good fit for a traditional dog boarding environment.

Some dogs struggle in busy kennels, group-play settings, or facilities that are not equipped to safely accommodate behavioral concerns. This option provides a more individualized boarding experience for dogs who need additional structure, management, and understanding while their owners are away.
